Nadal has announced his retirement at the end of the year and will next be seen competing at the Davis Cup Finals in the doubles tournament alongside Alcaraz. This tournament is slated for November 19-24, 2024, at the Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena in Malaga.

With almost one month left for the last tournament of his career, Nadal has launched NDL Pro-Health in collaboration with Cantabria Labs. The main motive of this is to help people lead an active and healthy lifestyle and give the best of themselves. Nadal shared a video on his Instagram that explained the significance of the brand.

“Rafa’s attitude, his spirit of self-improvement can only be found by listening to and taking care of our body, because health is victory. That is what he has created, in partnership with Cantabria Labs: NDL. Dietary supplements to help you lead an active and healthy lifestyle and to be your best version every day. An attitude that is contagious that pushes us to overcome ourselves. To keep trying, again and again.”

Rafael Nadal’s previous match was against one of his oldest rivals, Novak Djokovic, at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh. They went head-to-head for the 61st and the final time, and the latter won the match with a score of 6-2 7-6(5) in the third-place playoff. Nadal was honored with a golden racquet as a retirement present by the tournament officials.

Rafael Nadal announced his retirement on October 10, 2024, and declared that this season will be the final year of his career. He started this year in Melbourne, and since then he has been on and off the court, citing minor injuries. Before announcing his retirement, the Spaniard was last seen competing at the Paris Olympics, where he lost to Djokovic in the second round.

Following this, he withdrew his name from several tournaments, such as the US Open and the Laver Cup. Days after this, he shared the official statement of his retirement on social media, where he said:

“I’m here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is that it has been some difficult years, especially the last two. I don’t think I have been able to play without difficulties,” said Rafael Nadal. “In this life, everything has a beginning and an end. And I think it’s the appropriate time to put an end to a career that has been long and much more successful than I could have ever imagined.”

He added:

“But I am very excited that my last tournament will be the final of the Davis Cup and representing my country. I think I’ve come full circle, since one of my first great joys as a professional tennis player was the Davis Cup final in Seville in 2004.”
