Rafael Nadal – the tennis legend who just announced his retirement – lives in a coastal villa in Majorca with his wife and children, has a private plane, yacht, and many luxury cars.

Nadal has also enjoyed a lavish lifestyle outside of tennis, with a fortune of £170m. The “King of Clay” lives in a seaside villa in Majorca with his family. The 38-year-old bought the property in 2013 for £3m and is said to have spent seven years renovating it in a minimalist style.
Nadal rarely shares about his private life, but during the time the world was locked down due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, he occasionally posted photos of himself working out in his comfortable gym, revealing some of the villa’s space spanning over 1,000 square meters.
Nadal bought his own plane, a £5m Cessna Citation CJ2+. Only 223 were ever built and require £220,000 a year to maintain. The Cessna Citation CJ2+ can carry eight passengers.
The Sun reported that the Spanish tennis player decided to buy a private plane after being given a lift by rival Roger Federer to Africa in 2010. Nadal also gave his rival Viktor Troicki a lift in his Cessna Citation CJ2+ to London after he beat Troicki in the Mercedes Cup final the day before.

The “King of Clay” also owns a means of transport at sea. In 2019, Nadal sold his MCY 76 yacht named Beethoven, built in Italy, for £2 million. He added more money to buy the 80 Sunreef Power for £4.5 million. The 80 Sunreef Power is considered a superyacht with a spacious main deck, 4 guest cabins and two crew cabins. The yacht has full facilities such as a swimming pool, bar, open kitchen, bathroom and can accommodate up to 12 guests at a time.
Nadal has a collection of luxury cars including a £238,000 Aston Martin DBS in the style of Agent 007, a £180,000 Ferrari 458, a £130,000 Mercedes Benz AMG G63, a £172,000 Mercedes Benz AMG SL55, a Kia EV6 GT starting at £48,000 and the cheapest car is a Kia Stinger at £34,000.
In his personal life, Nadal is admired for his career-long love affair with his compatriot Maria Francisca Perello. The two started dating in 2005, got married in 2019 and have a two-year-old son. Maria Francisca Perello used to work in the insurance industry and is as private as her husband. Both enjoy a peaceful, private life in their homeland.
In an interview more than 10 years ago, the beauty expressed her view that love does not necessarily mean being together all the time when explaining why she rarely accompanies him to tournaments around the world. “He needs his own space when he competes. Just the idea of me walking around and waiting for him all day makes me tired,” Maria shared with Telegraph in 2011.
Besides tennis, Nadal is known as a huge fan of Real Madrid football team.
