Rhea Ripley took a shot at Liv Morgan following a major botch at WWE Bad Blood. The Eradicator attacked the Judgment Day star this past Friday night on SmackDown.
Liv Morgan defended the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley last Saturday at Bad Blood and Dominik Mysterio was trapped inside a shark cage during the match. Dirty Dom attempted to escape but wound up being suspended from the cage on the entrance ramp.
Rhea Ripley hit her former love interest a few times with a kendo stick before Raquel Rodriguez made her return. Rodriguez attacked Ripley, ending the match via disqualification. Despite losing the match, Morgan is still the reigning Women’s World Champion. The 28-year-old mocked Morgan’s botched plan at Bad Blood today on social media, and you can check out the post by clicking here.
“Let’s show where your “smart” a** sneaky plan of cheating to win worked without getting caught… oh wait, it didn’t,” she wrote.
The Judgment Day interfered in Nia Jax’s match against Naomi this past Friday on WWE SmackDown. Triple H introduced the Crown Jewel Championships at Bad Blood, and Morgan will be battling Jax for the title at the Premium Live Event on November 2. Ripley also made a surprise appearance on the blue brand and attacked The Judgment Day before the faction retreated.
Wrestling veteran Bill Apter questioned Rhea Ripley’s decision to go after Dominik Mysterio during the Women’s World Championship match at WWE Bad Blood.
Speaking in a recent Sportskeeda Wrestling Exclusive, Apter commented on Ripley getting distracted by Mysterio dangling from the shark cage during the title match at the Premium Live Event last weekend. He noted that the decision cost her everything, and she should have kept her focus on Liv Morgan.
“Here we’re looking at her to win the title, and she goes out and just tells the referee, ‘Oh, I’ll be right back, I want to—,’ and the referee just—I think that was botched. Completely. You’re going after the title, what are you going out for? You know, you’ve got this thing against Dominik, I get it, but you want to win the title. That’s what you’re there for,” he said.
Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the Women’s World Championship following WWE WrestleMania XL due to injury. Only time will tell if she will get another opportunity to challenge Liv Morgan for the title down the line.
