Seth Rollins teased a return to WWE while promoting Bad Blood 2024 at a football game. Rollins has been out of in-ring action since August. He was written off television after an attack from Bronson Reed on an episode of Raw. Rollins only participated in one match after his WWE return and there were doubts if he was 100 percent fit.
WWE seemingly confirmed that Rollins wasn’t fully fit by writing him off the TV. Two months after his television absence, Rollins teased a return at the premium live event.
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are scheduled to lock horns in a one-on-one tie in a Hell in a Cell match. Rollins has a history with both superstars and he could play his part in deciding the result of this match.
Rollins defended his title against McIntyre in the opening match of night 2 of Wrestlemania 40. McIntyre successfully defeated him to win the title but lost it to Damian Priest, who cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
At MITB 2024, Rollins challenged Damian for the title but McIntyre cashed in his briefcase. Courtesy of an attack by Punk, it was a failed cash-in and both McIntyre and Rollins lost.
Rollins was the special guest referee for the match between Punk and McIntyre at SummerSlam. The duo squared off for the second time at Bash in Berlin. The third match between them is likely to mark an end to their rivalry. But no one can rule out Rollins making his return and playing his part during the match.
All eyes will also be on Roman Reigns, who will team up with Cody Rhodes. The team of Reigns and Cody will challenge the new Bloodline. This will be Reigns’ first match since Wrestlemania 40, where he lost the Undisputed Universal Championship to Cody.
