SmackDown Star Expresses Frustration Over Exclusion from WWE Poster; Austin Theory Agrees!

The WWE SmackDown brand returns with another action-packed episode this week on the road to Crown Jewel. Tonight’s double taping is set to feature follow-ups to a few key angles from last week, including a big arrival. After returning from hiatus, one superstar is throwing insults around this afternoon while expressing frustration at SmackDown advertising, and Austin Theory agrees.

Grayson Waller insulted The Motor City Machine Guns and Nick Aldis before last week’s SmackDown, which led to the blue brand General Manager booking him and Theory against the debuting MCMG. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin ended up defeating A-Town Down Under and Los Garza to earn a #1 contender’s match against DIY on tonight’s show. Waller’s heat with Aldis and any other authority figure seems to be continuing this week.

The One and The Moment Maker are back at SmackDown for tonight’s loaded live episode following their recent NXT run. Waller took to his Instagram Stories to share footage of the former tag team champions walking through New York City to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

“We’re out here at the Barclays Center, me and my boy Austin Theory. Hey, one thing I always forget until I come back here is… how much New York City sucks! Dude… tell me this place ain’t the worst! [laughs],” Grayson Waller said.

Theory agreed and then pointed to a WWE SmackDown banner outside the arena. He asked where A-Town Down Under was, but clearly, they were not included in the advertisement, which showed Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Roman Reigns, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax.

“Yeah, we’re going to have to talk to someone about that. That’s a little bit disrespectful, interesting. Man, I hate this place!” Grayson Waller said.

Theory once again agreed with his tag team partner as Waller’s video ended. WWE has not confirmed A-Town Down Under for tonight as of this writing.

Before last week’s Triple Threat, Waller and Theory worked their last standard televised SmackDown match on September 13, which was the loss to Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. The recent brief WWE NXT run included a win over Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander, then a loss to NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom.
