Stephen Curry says he doesn’t consider himself lucky to be celebrating five years of marriage with his wife, Ayesha, because he believes it’s a blessing.
After celebrating their five year anniversary, Ayesha listed faith as the key element in her marriage to NBA star Steph Curry.
The Currys have been vocal about their marriage for some time and took an anniversary trip to St. Tropez, France, to celebrate their union. Before arriving, Steph spoke about the blessing that his marriage has been.”About to start our 5th wedding anniversary trip in style! Blessed to spend life with this beautiful woman … #blessednotlucky,” he wrote.

Ayesha also posted a message on her Instagram account, saying, “Celebrating five years of marriage, love, growth and faith. Feeling like I’m on cloud 9.”
The Golden State Warriors point guard previously expressed his gratitude for his family when he received the 2016 NBA MVP award.
“I’m blessed to have such a tight-knit family that we can talk about anything. Whether we talk frequently or not, since we’re on separate ends of the country, there are a lot of moving parts and we always stay tight and find that center, and that ground that keeps us together,” the 28-year-old basketball star said. “It takes a village to raise two beautiful daughters, and with the pace of life that we have, you guys play a significant role in that. Knowing your faith and your view in life that will be passed on to my kids as well is definitely special, so thank you very much.”
Last month, Ayesha spoke about how the couple’s faith helped them overcome the disappointing championship loss last year.
“My faith is a foundation of everything that I do. It’s what keeps our family strong and it’s what keeps us going on a daily basis,” Ayesha said in an interview with Haute Living. “It’s what makes the losses OK. Nothing is ever really that bad.”
In the moments following the Warriors loss to the championship winning Cleveland Cavaliers, Curry’s family chose to glorify God.
“Everything according to his plan always Glory to God,” his budding chef and wife wrote.
