Steph Curry Delivers a Jaw-Dropping Hole-in-One at the American Century Golf Tournament

Stephen Curry left spectators in awe at the American Century Championship with a spectacular hole-in-one, showcasing his athletic prowess beyond the basketball court. At the prestigious celebrity golf tournament, Curry executed a flawless shot on the 152-yard, par-three seventh hole at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. His incredible feat was met with enthusiastic cheers as he raced down the fairway to celebrate his remarkable achievement.

In addition to the jubilant spectators observing the hole-in-one, LeBron James praised Steph Curry on Twitter. Curry made a joke with NBC’s Roger Maltbie after the feat, saying, “154 yards is a little longer than 94 feet on a basketball court.” For a good reason, I will be out of breath for the remainder of the day. Additionally, Curry said that he had “probably one of the better rounds I’ve played ever” with his performance.

At the American Century Championship, Steph Curry now leads the scoreboard with 50 points, followed by Mardy Fish and Joe Pavelski, both with 47 points.

Steve Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, is aware that following Jayson Tatum’s limited playing time with Team USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Boston Celtics fans would attempt to ruin his life.

In particular, that will be the case when Golden State comes to TD Garden on November 6 of the 2024–25 NBA season, but Kerr won’t be too concerned about it.

Kerr laughed and said, “I think they’re going to be all over me,” to Steve Aschburner of NBA.com. That’s alright.

Even though Kerr helped Team USA win an Olympic gold medal this summer, Tatum’s sparse playing time—including a DNP against Serbia in the semifinals—turned him into a lightning rod for criticism.

Tatum, who shot just 41.2 percent from the field, was 10th on the squad in terms of points per game (5.3) during his four NBA championship runs as coach.

Though Tyrese Haliburton, a superstar forward fresh off an NBA championship season with the Celtics in 2024, was just one more than Derrick White on the USA squad.

Kerr acknowledged even then that Tatum was a good sport about his small position in Paris, much like Haliburton and White. “Everyone of those guys was amazing,” Kerr said to Aschburner. Jason managed everything so expertly. He could not have handled it better when it became a media topic, of course. The same with Tyrese. Each game was unique. And that’s something we’ve discussed since the first night: out of the 12 superstars, maybe only nine can play meaningful minutes.

They supported one another and conducted themselves in a genuinely professional manner. I have the utmost pride in each of them.

Even though Kerr is calm about the heckling he would encounter in Boston, maybe Steph Curry and company can perform well on the court and quiet the Celtics fan base.
