Steph Curry Has Tense Exchange with Fans on the Same Night Wife Ayesha Was Moved to Tears

USA basketball star Steph Curry briefly lost his cool with a fan outside the team’s Olympics afterparty in Paris on Saturday night – not long after his wife was left in tears following an encounter with French police.

Curry, 36, celebrated with his American teammates at the swanky L’Avenue restaurant after inspiring their victory over the hosts in Saturday’s gold-medal game, where his sensational 24-point haul helped them secure a 98-87 win.

Before heading to the party, though, the Golden State Warriors icon’s wife Ayesha and mother Sonya were involved in a dispute with police while trying to walk back to their car after the game.

The clash left Ayesha, Steph’s wife of the last 13 years, visibly upset in a video captured by Hollywood Fix.

And just hours later, Curry himself had a heated exchange of his own when an adoring fan hunting an autograph appeared to wave a shirt in Sonya’s face as they made their way out of the afterparty.

‘Watch out!’ the NBA point guard can be heard yelling in the viral clip, shared by Instagram account @Vendett_Dailly. ‘Get that out of my momma’s face!’

Unlike her husband’s incident, it is unclear what caused Ayesha’s clash with the cops in Paris on Saturday night.

Yet at one stage of the video, Sonya was heard yelling that someone touched baby Caius Chai, the couple’s fourth child who was born prematurely in May. Caius was seen in Ayesha’s arms throughout the ordeal.

Curry’s Golden State Warrior teammate, Draymond Green, was also heard saying that someone hit the baby boy’s head.

Part of the issue appeared to be that the Currys and Green were being prevented from walking back to their car.

‘Look, they won’t let us go back over there where we came from,’ Sonya said. ‘They won’t let the driver come here and they won’t let us go back over there.’

At one point a man begins translating for police and offers an apology: ‘Sorry about the baby.’

Curry was not seen in the footage, but Green certainly made his presence felt in the gold medalist’s absence.

‘So, even after him hitting the baby in the head, there’s still nothing y’all can do to get them out of here?’ he asked.

At one point an irate Sonya can be heard yelling at others off camera: ‘What? Stop saying my name. You should be helping us with the baby!’

Later, a tearful Sonya simply tells officers: ‘Let us get to our car.’

Although Ayesha is clearly crying, she remains silent throughout the confrontation.

The couple has not responded to the incident publicly.

Curry met Ayesha as a teenager at church in his native Charlotte, where his father was playing at the time. The two ultimately married in July of 2011.

Since then, the elder Curry and long-time wife Sonya have divorced.

Draymond Green was also on hand to provide support for his teammate's family on the night

Steph and Ayesha announced the birth of Caius in late May.

‘Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!!’ the four-time NBA champion wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the newborn’s hand. ‘He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!’

It’s unclear when Caius’ original due date was scheduled, but the couple’s first three children were all born in July – the height of the NBA offseason. Eldest daughter Riley Elizabeth was born in July of 2012, while daughter Ryan was born three years later, followed by their first son, Canon, in 2018.
