Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and coach Steve Kerr endorsed Kamala Harris’ presidential bid from the Paris Olympics.

Curry, who is competing on Team USA’s Olympic basketball team, spoke out on political affairs back home during a press conference.

He said the United States faced “a monumental next couple of months” and Harris is bringing “positive energy and optimism.”

“A very interesting time for our country for sure and the fact that President Biden gave that endorsement and Vice President Harris is trying to bring her energy to this campaign,” he said. “And hopefully, if she’s on the ticket, winning the election. It’s a big deal to say the least. She represents the Bay Area. She’s been a big supporter of us and so I want to give that energy right back to her.”

Kerr, the team’s basketball coach, told ESPN that Harris “is a great candidate and I will support her.”

Harris grew up in Oakland and is a Warriors fan, while her husband is a Los Angeles Lakers fan.

Earlier this month, Harris attended Team USA’s Olympic basketball practice in Las Vegas.
