Following his gold medal run with Team USA, Steph Curry went on an international tour to build hype around his brand with Under Armour. As the former MVP gears up for another NBA season, photos have surfaced of the newest addition to his signature line.
In August, Curry and Under Armour released the first edition of “Curry 12.” Months later, new colorways have started to emerge. The first of three new styles to be announced is the “Gravity” colorway.
Aside from “Gravity,” “Shooting Star” and “Wardell Mode” are set to release in the coming weeks.
For those looking to purchase a pair of Curry 12s, they are available for purchase on Under Armour’s website. The colorways available are selling for around $140.
Since signing with the sportswear brand over a decade ago, Steph Curry has become one of the main faces of Under Armour. The Curry brand has been so successful that the sub-division has started signing athletes.
Earlier this year, Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox became the first person to sign with the Curry brand.
Before Steph Curry was announcing new colorways for his signature shoe, he made his preseason debut for the Golden State Warriors. The star guard didn’t play much against the Sacramento Kings but showed that he’s ready for the upcoming season.
Seeing that he had a short offseason due to playing in the Olympics, Steve Kerr is likely keeping the workload low for Curry. This resulted in him only seeing 15 minutes of action on Wednesday. In that time, he scored 13 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the field.
Steph Curry is known for his incredible 3-point shooting, but in a game against the Kings, he was good near the basket. He cut backdoor, received a pass at the rim, and while hanging in the air, he caught the pass and made the shot.
Led by impressive performances from numerous members of the supporting cast, the Warriors defeated the Kings 122-112. The biggest standout was Buddy Hield, who scored 22 points in his first preseason game with his new team.
In his age 36 season, Curry is still the main pillar of the Warriors organization. He’ll be called upon to lead the charge for this mix of youth and veterans. This season will be different for him, as he’ll no longer have his Splash Brother, Klay Thompson.
