Stephanie Vaquer paid tribute to a WWE Hall of Famer early in her debut at NXT Halloween Havoc in Hersey, Pennsylvania. Vaquer hit a 619, the move made famous by Rey Mysterio.
The Dark Angel was signed by WWE back in July, but it took some time for her to make television debut for NXT. She finally appeared on the October 8 episode of NXT on The CW, helping Guilia take out NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade.
Vaquer teamed up with Giulia to face Perez and Jade in a dream tag team at NXT Halloween Havoc. Early in the match, Giulia and Vaquer showed their chemistry inside the ring.
In the video below, Giulia hit a drop toehold to set up a 619 from Vaquer as the crowd inside the Giant Center erupted in cheers. 619 is one of the most iconic moves in WWE history, made popular by former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio.
The four ladies stole the show at Halloween Havoc, with Stephanie Vaquer getting the win for her team. Vaquer hit a Corkscrew Moonsault on Roxanne Perez for the victory.
Vaquer is one of the biggest superstars from Latin America. She’s part of the next batch of women’s wrestlers that WWE signed this year, along with Giulia and Zaria, who made her presence felt after the match.
