Last night a blockbuster ‘two-night’ SumerSlam event was announced for 2025 and it will take place at New Jersey, on 2nd and 3rd of August. The announcement was made by WWE along with New Jersey Sports And Exposition Authority. Following the announcement, the netizens were quick to anticipate that one of the biggest ticket sellers of WWE(and Hollywood),John Cenawould definitely be present in the event, as part of his ‘Farewell Tour”.Therefore, what better occasion for Cena to win his 17thWorld Championship, than at the auspiciousSummerSlam 2025.Here’s why John Cena winning his 17th World Title at SummerSlam 2025 would be perfect. The Timing Of The Event Would Be PerfectJohn Cena is set to initiate his “Retirement Tour” any time soon, but if he is indeed going to capture his 17th World Title, it should be at a marquee event. Now WrestleMania 41 would have been perfect for Cena to get the record 17th title, but seeing his available timeline, that would be too early to hand the title to “The Champ”. Therefore, the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam would be perfect in terms of timing and grandeur. Cena has had some memorable matches at SummerSlam and a 17 World Title victory there would be the icing on the cake of his career. It Will Add To The Glory of SummerSlamFor the first time in history, SummerSlam is going to be a two-night event. TheMetLife Stadiumwill host the grand Marquee event on the 2nd and 3rd of August. Now, to ensure the magnificence of this special event, WWE has to ensure something grand for the fans to witness. What better than handing the “Cenation Leader” a record 17th World Championship, on the second biggest stage of WWE, after WrestleMania. As we all know, Cena is only one title away from becoming the wrestler with the highest number of World Championships, so, SummerSlam 2025 would be the ideal time to do so(if at all).Best Time For a World Title Change In WWE.The current two World Champions of WWE, Cody Rhodes(Undisputed WWE Champion) and Gunther(World Heavyweight Champion) are in for a long run, as has been the plan from WWE. Cody won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL and Gunther recently captured his first World Championship at SummerSlam. So the duration of their Championship reign would still be okay, if they lose at SummerSlam next year against Cena. Whereas, if the title changes hands before that, it wouldn’t please the fans as both are still young in their lives, as “World Champions”. Also, whichever champion Cena faces, it would be a monumental event in WWE. So to male it even bigger, it has to happen at SummerSlam 2025.Therefore, there are all the chances in the world that Cena will capture his record 17th World Title at SummerSlam 2025.
