Taylor Swift returned to the stands just in time to witness the Kansas City Chiefs maintain their unbeaten streak on Monday night.
Having missed Travis Kelce’s 35th birthday celebrations in Kansas City during the weekend, Swift was present at Arrowhead Stadium to see the Chiefs triumph over the New Orleans Saints with a score of 26-13, pushing their record to an impressive 5-0.
While Kelce didn’t steal the spotlight this time, with running back Kareem Hunt securing 102 yards and a touchdown and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster amassing 130 yards, the seasoned tight-end seemed to return to form. He racked up 70 yards across nine receptions, becoming quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ go-to guy.
Kelce also played a pivotal role in Xavier Worthy’s touchdown, taking a direct snap in a play straight out of coach Andy Reid’s playbook before passing it to the fleet-footed wide receiver. The evening ended on a high note for the Chiefs, who now enjoy a break before facing off against the San Francisco 49ers on October 20.
Post-game, inside Kelce’s private box at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift shared her feelings with Chariah Gordon the partner of Kelce’s teammate Mecole Hardman. “How do you feel after this win? ” Gordon queried in a clip posted to her Instagram story.
“No, it’s important that you answer the question this time,” Swift said, before Gordon continued: “I think that we feel really good about this week, we are 5-0.” Swift then interjected: “Going into a bye week” before agreeing with Gordon by concluding: “Perfect is the word!”

The spotlight post-game was on Smith-Schuster and Hunt two key players who didn’t start the season with the Chiefs but were reinstated by Coach Reid. Hunt, who topped the league in rushing for the Chiefs as a newcomer in 2017, and Smith-Schuster, who contributed to their Super Bowl victory in 2022 before switching to the New England Patriots, were central to the discussion.
Mahomes showered accolades on Smith-Schuster on Monday night, even drawing parallels to Kelce. “Trav is kind of one of a kind, but [Smith-Schuster] has a good feel for the entire concept of the play and so he knows how to get into the open spots,” Mahomes reflected.
“He did a good job today of beating man when they played man and finding windows [in zone] to get big catches. “It’s a credit to not only the guys and how hard they work, but coach Reid and just knowing their skill sets and how to put them in great positions. Kareem just runs extremely hard.”
“He squeezes every yard out there, he catches the ball, he does whatever is necessary to go out there and come away with a win. [Smith-Schuster] meshes well with this offense and he really showed up today. It was awesome to see those guys thrive.”
