Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, extended her support to the player after he booked his berth in the ATP Finals 2024. Day 2 of the 2024 Paris Masters main draw match between Andrey Rublev and Francisco Cerundolo brought good news for the American player.

Rublev faced an early loss from the Argentine at the Paris Masters, and his hope of qualifying for the ATP Finals was crushed. The seed No. 6, Rublev initially had the first set under his dominance as he started with a 5-2 lead in the opening set, which was then eventually taken over by Cerundolo, who bounced back with a 6-5 advantage.

Similar situations occurred during the second set of the match, but Rublev lost the match in straight sets after facing a close fight with a score of 7(8)-6(6), 7(7)-6(5). Following this loss, Rublev is currently in the eighth position, and Fritz, who was in the fifth position and had 4,300 points, qualified for the ATP Finals for the second time in three years.

After his qualification, the American received a sweet gesture of support from his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle. She re-shared a post by the Tennis Channel on her Instagram story, which announced the news of Taylor Fritz’s qualification to the finals and wrote:

The American player met Riddle, who is an influencer in 2020, on the dating app Raya. In an interview with The People magazine, his girlfriend revealed that she made Fritz watch a horror movie, Midsommar, with her.

In the press conference of the Masters 1000 event, Taylor Fritz was asked about who’s schedule was busier between him and Morgan Riddle. He replied that his girlfriend was the busier one because he did not like going out much.

“Oh, I would say Morgan’s busier. She goes out and does more stuff. I don’t have much of a battery for, like, going out and being in public, doing social things, so she packs on some pretty busy days,” said Taylor Fritz.

He added:

“At tournaments, I like to be very lazy. I like to just, you know, take care of my business at the courts, practice, do the physio work, take care of my body, and then just relax. I think she’s probably more, I mean, I may be a little more doing more physical stuff, but I think she’s being really busy.”
