Pop star Taylor Swift’s romance with Travis Kelce sent her legion of fans into overdrive as the couple appeared smitten with each other since going public last year.

So understandably, it came as a shock when a leaked contract that went viral online, revealed details claiming the couple were set to announce their break-up on September 28. But it now looks though the loved up pair is still going strong as nothing has been revealed suggesting their split.

The date claimed in the contract would mark a year since the global superstar,34, started dating the Kansas City Chiefs player after he was seen enjoying one of her concerts. At the time the contract emerged, Travis’ team branded the allegations as “entirely false and fabricated” and revealed they had brought in lawyers to locate the source of the “fabricated” contract.

Rumours of their relationship first circulated when Travis was spotted by her fans as he attended her Eras Tour. Speaking on his podcast New Heights with his brother Jason, Travis revealed details of how he had initially attempted to approach the singer – but failed.

He said he had his phone number written on a bracelet which he had planned to give to her backstage at one of her concerts – but was told she does not allow anyone to meet her before a show. He said: “So she doesn’t meet anybody and she doesn’t – or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”

He added that he was “disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I’ve made for her.” He continued: “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”

After his brother had fuelled rumours of a romance, Travis decided to set the record straight on The Pat McAfee Show. He said: “I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court. I said, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead, and see which one’s a little more lit’.”

He continued: “We’ll see what happens in the near future.” Days later on September 24 last year, the singer was seen at one of his games and the VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium. After the game, the pair were seen walking out together and she was seen wearing a Kansas City Chiefs top.
