Andy Roddick playfully counters wife Brooklyn Decker’s claim of beating son Hank at wiffle ball
Andy Roddick and his wife, Brooklyn Decker, playfully debated whether the latter should join their son Hank’s school wiffle ball competition.
Decker posted an Instagram story in which the couple humorously discussed whether she could compete against Hank in a parent-versus-kids wiffle ball game.
“Okay, so our kid has a parent versus kids Wiffle ball game on Satuday, and Hank our son was like ‘I’m making mom play. She can’t get out of this’, and I told Andy like ‘No problem. I will slide head first into a base’, and Andy doesn’t think I can do it. Andy doesn’t think I can play wiffle ball with the kids,” Brooklyn said.
Roddick shared his thoughts on the matter, saying:
“Well no, I think you can, but you also said things like athletically and this isn’t meexaggerating because I know I can tell a story. Tell me which part isn’t true. ‘Athletically, I can do anything I set my mind to.'”
“I think I can throw. That just required like floppiness, flexibility, and a little bit of determination. All of which I have,” Decker replied.
She continued to back her athletic abilities, saying:
“No, it’s not a matter of, like, being arrogant or humble. It’s a matter of like simply being determined and being like yeah, anything athletic that I needed to do I can figure out, no problem.”

Sofia Kenin’s Tokyo Open final participation uncertain after tearful withdrawal from doubles semifinal
Sofia Kenin was visibly emotional after sustaining an injury during the doubles semifinals at the 2024 Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, forcing her and partner Bethanie Mattek-Sands to concede their match to Laura Siegemund and Ena Shibahara.
Earlier, Kenin had injured herself in the singles semifinal against ninth-seed Katie Boulter but pushed through to win 6-4, 6-4. However, her condition worsened in the doubles match, prompting her to take a medical timeout and return with ice strapped to her upper leg. Down 5-2 in the first set, Kenin ultimately had to withdraw.
This retirement casts doubt on Kenin’s ability to compete in the singles final against top seed Zheng Qinwen on October 27, as the quick turnaround leaves her with limited recovery time.
