Camila is calm about all the bad rumors about her after coming to the US and now she gently responds

In a revealing interview with Canale 5, Giorgi shared the reasons for leaving his native Italy for the United States and denied rumors of “fleeing” Italy.

Despite winning four WTA professional titles and reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2018, Giorgi’s tennis career has been considered average.

Giorgi said the pressure from competing and the physical and mental stress of having to travel frequently made her decide to retire in May 2024.

“I’ve always had to take a few months off and then come back on the field, but now I can’t take the physical and mental stress anymore,” she shared.

Rumors of debt and “escape” from ItalyAt the time, there were rumors that Giorgi “fled” Italy to avoid the authorities after she was accused of owing 446,000 euros, due to unpaid tax returns.

However, Giorgi denies this: “I didn’t run away! It wasn’t an escape. When I read those things, I just laugh. We didn’t leave Italy to evade taxes.” She also denies accusations from her landlord that she stole furniture worth around 100,000 euros when she left the town of Calenzano near Florence.

Regarding the financial problems, Giorgi explained that they arose due to the lawyer’s fault, without her knowing: “My lawyer caused a lot of trouble without me knowing, until these questions arose. My family did not know about this situation either. Others advised me, and that was their job.”

Camila’s love for modeling is bigger than playing tennis

Choosing between love of tennis and modeling career

After retiring, Giorgi developed a modeling career on social media and attracted hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram. She regularly shares sexy photos in lingerie with more than 734,000 followers.

She admits her love for modelling grew and overcame her passion for tennis. “I wanted to quit tennis years ago, but now I really can’t continue,” Camila explains.

Currently, Camila Giorgi, 32 years old, once ranked 26th in WTA, is residing in the US, where she lives with her American boyfriend.

She is happy and said: “I believe in love, and now I have someone. He is not Italian, but American. I am very happy, everything is wonderful in every way. We travel a lot and live together every day”.
