The first games of set 1 saw Carlos Alcaraz excited when the Spaniard broke first. At many times, “Little Nadal” had the chance to end set 1 early. But Alcaraz was disappointed when Sinner broke him in the important 9th game. Sinner forced Alcaraz into a tie-break and won 8-6.

After the mistake in set 1, Alcaraz entered set 2 with a certain caution. Finally, Alcaraz equalized the set with exactly 1 break point in game 9. Sinner and Alcaraz then had to decide the winner in set 3.

This set witnessed a tense struggle. Alcaraz continued to break Sinner’s game 3 and then lost game 8. Finally, the China Open championship was decided in a tie-break. There, Sinner started well and led 3-0.

But the audience witnessed a spectacular comeback by Alcaraz. The Spaniard won the next 7 points to win 7-3 in the deciding tie-break. Thanks to that, Alcaraz defeated Sinner 2-1, becoming the new champion of the China Open.
