Stephen Curry signed a four-year, $215.4 million deal in August 2021; he has two years left on it. Curry was only allowed to sign a one-year extension this summer because of the NBA‘s “38-year rule,” which prohibits teams from giving extended contracts to players who reach 38 within the term of the agreement.

Curry scored 26.4 points, dished out 5.1 assists, and made 40.8 percent of his three-pointers in his 35th season last year. When he led Team USA in scoring against France during the All-Star campaign, he won his first Olympic gold medal. Fans shouldn’t worry just yet because he still defies aging. There’s a good chance he has three more seasons of high output, and he may play in a supporting position long into the future.

To stay competitive, the Warriors have adjusted their roster this summer while concentrating on maximizing Stephen Curry’s last years. With Stephen Curry on the floor, the team can continue to challenge for the championship. Still, the league’s look will eventually change when players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Victor Wembanyama, and other outstanding young players break through.
