Why Cody Rhodes Doesn’t Need a WWE Dream Opponent to Chase Greatness

Cody Rhodes has given an interesting answer when asked about dream opponents in WWE.

With The American Nightmare currently reigning as the Undisputed Champion, many on the roster would name Rhodes as their own dream opponent as they want to be the top star in the company. When asked about his own dream match, Rhodes is more concerned with where the match takes place as opposed to who his opponent might be.

Having competed in the main event of the past 2 WrestleManias, Rhodes stated on the Superstar Crossover podcast with Josh Martinez podcast that his dream match is to main event the show once more:

“My goal is to main event WrestleMania, and who I main event WrestleMania with is my dream match, and I do not have that answer. I do not know what that is. I might have an inkling. I might have a hint. I might have multiple hints. I might have different doors to open, but that, to me, is my dream match. I don’t mean to give a cop-out answer, but in this moment, when you’re holding the North Star of the business, every one is the one you want to be the dream match.”

Rhodes will team with Roman Reigns to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood, which will take place in Rhodes’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

Having been under Endeavor ownership for over a year, the company has seen multiple changes take place on camera and behind the scenes. The latest change announced was the reduction of live events as they have been barely profitable, if at all. During the same interview, Cody Rhodes gave his thoughts on WWE reducing the live event schedule.

In a new interview, Cody Rhodes teased a big announcement.

H/t to Fightful.
