Lesnar was born into a farming family. Compared to many, Lesnar had a fairly modest start, living on his family’s dairy farm in Webster. His father is Richard Lesnar – who always tried to work so that Lesnar could pay for his education. He was also the one who created the conditions for Lesnar to participate in wrestling competitions from high school until now. His mother – Stephanie Lesnar played a role in motivating his success. He has 2 older brothers, Troy and Chad, and a younger sister, Brandy.

Lesnar loved the simple life on his farm. He sometimes treated his surroundings as his own personal gym and started wrestling amateurs at the age of 5. It can be said that Lesnar’s talent was revealed quite early compared to his peers. This was largely due to his natural talent and the great encouragement and support from his family.

After moving from WWE to UFC, he won the heavyweight championship after defeating Randy Couture at UFC 91. The American fighter successfully defended the title twice, before losing the belt to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. He is also the only fighter to win belts in the two biggest stages in the world.

According to Wikipedia, Brock Lesnar began wrestling as a teenager at Webster High School in his hometown of North Dakota. With good coaching, he had a remarkable record of 33 wins and 100 wins. His roommate Shelton Beljamin, also a wrestler, was one of Brock’s coaches. In 2000, Brock Lesnar won the NCAA championship. After playing for the Minnesotta Golden Gophers, Brock competed at Bismarck State College, also in North Dakota. He finished his amateur high school wrestling career with a remarkable record of 106-5.

He signed with WWE and was transferred to Ohio Valley Wrestling to compete and train. There, he won the championship with his former classmate Shelton Beljamin after defeating BJ Payne and Damian. They formed the Minnesota Stretching Crew. The two later lost the title but won it back from BJ Payne and Damian shortly after. In July 2001, he lost the title when Shelton was injured.

Brock Lesnar and Shelton Beljamin won the belts for the third and final time on October 29, 2001, defeating Rico & Prototype. On WWE 2012, the first Monday Night Raw after Wrestlemania XXVIII, Brock Lenser returned with John Cena. A week later, along with John Laurinaitis, Brock Lenser reappeared and the Raw and Smackdown GMs declared him the “new face of WWE”.

A week before Extreme Rule, Brock Lenser signed a contract with John Cena for an Extreme Rule Match. While waiting for John Cena, he signed another contract with John Laurinaitis, in the contract, he requested to change the name of Monday Night Raw to Monday Night Raw Staring Brock Lesnar and because he wanted to increase his business, the Raw and Smackdown GMs agreed. And when Laurinaitis agreed, he immediately signed the contract with John Cena.

At Extreme Rules, despite his best efforts, he was defeated by John Cena. At the first Monday Night Raw Staring Brock Lenser, Big Johny officially introduced Lesnar as the “New face of WWE”, immediately WWE COO Triple H appeared. Johny introduced Lenser as the “new face of WWE”, immediately Triple H said “SHUT UP” to John. He said: “The name of this show is still ‘MONDAY NIGHT RAW’.” Immediately a fight broke out between the COO and Brock, resulting in Triple H’s left arm being injured. A week later, Brock’s agent Paul Heymen announced that Lenser would sue Triple H and never return to WWE.

At Money In The Bank, Triple H challenged Lenser to a match at Summers Slam. A week later, Heymen said no and was attacked by Triple H. A week later, via satellite, Paul Heymen said Lenser would have an answer for Triple H at Monday Night Raw 1000. At Monday Night Raw 1000, after being attacked by Stephen Bigman, a panicked Heymen accepted the WWE COO’s challenge.

On Monday Night a week before Summer Slam Brock destroyed Shawn Micheal’s left arm – who had declared that he would stand on Triple H’s side. At Summer Slam despite his best efforts Triple H still had to “tap out” when Brock once again destroyed Triple H’s arm. On the following Monday Night Paul Heyman called Brock Lenser “The new king of Kings”. On Raw 2/25/2013 Paul Heyman fought wwe creator Vince Mcmahon then Brock Lesnar came out to beat Vince Mcmahon and Triple H returned and beat Brock Lesnar and made him bleed on Raw 3/4/2013 Triple H challenged Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 29 which will take place on April 7.

At WrestleMania 29, Brock tried but failed to defeat Triple H after Triple H hit him with a Pedigree onto the ring steps. At WrestleMania 30, Brock created one of the biggest shocks in WWE history when he defeated Undertaker, who had a 21-match winning streak at WrestleMania.

At Summer Slam 2014, Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. At Night Of Champions 2014, Brock rematched Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Cena hit Brock with 4 AAs. It seemed like Brock was about to lose, but Seth Rollins – who was holding the Money In The Bank briefcase at the time, who could claim the title at any time – came out and interrupted the match, hit Cena and hit Brock with a Curbstomp. According to the rules, Cena won by DQ (disqualification), but Brock Lesnar still retained the title.

Cena chased Seth away, Brock hit Cena then went inside with the belt and took a break for a few months. A few months later, on a Raw show, when Paul Heyman, Brock’s manager, was about to fight Chris Jericho, Brock returned to save Paul and hit Jericho with an F5. At the Royal Rumble 2015, Brock would rematch Cena once again for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But The Authority – the company’s powerful group, added Seth Rollins to the match and it became a Triple Threat Match. At the Royal Rumble 2015, Cena and Seth teamed up to beat Brock. Brock ate 3 AAs, 1 Curbstomp, was knocked over the audience barrier by Cena and finally had Seth Rollins hit the Phoenix Splash, collapsing the commentary table.

It seemed that Brock would not get up again, but when Seth was about to win the match, Brock returned and performed an F5 on Seth, and Brock Lesnar won and retained the WWE World Championship. The same night as Brock’s victory, the winner of the Royal Rumble match was Roman Reigns – which meant that Roman Reigns would face Brock Lesnar at Wrestle Mania 31, WWE’s biggest event of the year, for the WWE World Championship. At Wrestle Mania 31, Brock performed 10 Suplexes and 4 F5s on Roman Reigns.

Roman also threw 3 Superman Punches and 2 Spears on Brock. The match was dramatic, then once again, Seth Rollins came out and demanded the right to compete for the title, throwing Curbstomp on both Brock and Reigns and winning the title. Brock was very angry, on the next Raw show, he looked for Seth to demand a rematch but Seth ran away, Brock angrily beat the commentators and a cameraman. He was then banned from competing for assaulting an employee. On the Raw show before Battleground, Brock Lesnar unexpectedly returned to challenge Seth Rollins and the two would fight each other at Battleground for WWE WHC. At Battleground, Brock was about to win when Undetaker suddenly returned to attack Brock, throwing Chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver on Brock.

At Summerslam 2015, Brock and Undertaker had an exciting rematch. The turning point of the match happened when Brock was applying a Kimura Lock to Undertaker when the bell rang to end the match. The referee came out to tell the ringer that he did not give the signal (according to the rules, the referee gives the signal -> the ringer rings the bell -> the match ends).

While the audience was still wondering what was going on, Paul Heyman was raising his hand, Brock believed his client had won, but Undertaker threw a Low Blow from behind. Brock fell down and Undertaker locked him in a Hell’s Gate. Brock gave the fuck finger and passed out. Undertaker was declared the winner.

After the match ended, the camera caught Brock applying the Kimura Lock, and Undertaker clapping his hands in defeat. The third and final match between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar took place at Hell in a Cell 2015 in the same format (taking place in a steel cage), which was voted the best match of the year by the audience. The match was fierce and both sides were bloody. Brock avenged his defeat at Summerslam by hitting Undertaker with a Low Blow and finishing with an F5 on the wooden floor (which Brock had previously stripped off the fabric). Brock defeated Undertaker at Hell in a Cell 2015.

At Fastlane 2016, Brock participated in a Triple Threat match with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. The winner of this match will compete for the WWE title with Triple H at WrestleMania 32. Dean hit Roman with a chair and then hit Brock again. Brock was hit so hard that he rolled to the floor. Dean turned around and Roman finished him off with a Spear and pinned him. Roman won. Dean Ambrose vs Brock at WrestleMania 32 in a street fight format (weapons used). Dean hit Brock a lot but couldn’t beat him and was F5’d into a pile of chairs. Brock won.

Brock took a break and faced the legendary Goldberg at Survivor Series 2017, Goldberg defeated Brock in a few minutes with just 1 Spear and 1 Jackhammer, surprising WWE audiences (Brock had not lost in WWE for a long time). At Royal Rumble 2018, Brock was unbeatable in the Royal Rumble match when Goldberg was the next wrestler to enter the ring and spear Brock, then eliminated Brock.

At WrestleMania 33, Brock rematched Goldberg, this match was also for the WWE Universal title because Goldberg was the WWE Universal champion at that time (just won the title at Fastlane 2019). As soon as the match started, Brock ate 1 Spear, 1 Jackhammer, Goldberg pinned but only up to 2. Goldberg was surprised, he retreated to the corner to prepare the Spear, Brock was in the opposite corner. Goldberg rushed forward, Brock spread his legs and jumped over Goldberg’s head, causing him to go straight into the corner and get stunned. Brock threw the 10th Suplex and then threw another F5. Brock won and retained the WWE Universal Championship.

UFC Heavyweight Title Challenge

In 2006, Lesnar pursued a career in mixed martial arts (MMA) when he signed with Hero’s and won his first fight, against Min-Soo Kim in June 2007. He then signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) the following October. Lesnar lost his UFC debut to Frank Mir and then won his second fight against Heath Herring. In November 2008, Lesnar defeated Randy Couture to become the UFC heavyweight champion.

Shortly after successfully defending his title in a rematch with Mir, Lesnar was sidelined with appendicitis. He returned at UFC 116 to defeat UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin and unify the heavyweight titles, becoming the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion in the process. Lesnar then lost the title to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. In 2011, he was sidelined again due to health issues and underwent surgery. Lesnar returned at UFC 141 in December, losing to Alistair Overeem and immediately retiring from MMA.

Lesnar was a box office sensation in the UFC before that, starring in several pay-per-view events that are said to be the highest-grossing in UFC history, including UFC 100 and UFC 116. In April 2012, Lesnar returned to professional wrestling, rejoining WWE after an eight-year hiatus. Two years later, at WrestleMania XXX, Lesnar defeated The Undertaker to end his undefeated streak at WrestleMania. He has since achieved world championship status five times, having won the WWE World Heavyweight/WWE Championship in 2014 and 2019 as well as the WWE Universal Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

His first reign as world champion is the longest in WWE since 1988 at 504 days (although recognized by WWE as 503 days), the sixth-longest world championship reign in the promotion’s history. In June 2016, at UFC 199, the UFC advertised Lesnar’s return to action at UFC 200 despite him still being under contract with WWE. Lesnar defeated his opponent Mark Hunt by unanimous decision. However, after Lesnar tested positive for clomiphene, a banned substance under the UFC’s anti-doping policy, he was suspended from the UFC for one year and fined $250,000 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and his victory over Hunt was disqualified. Lesnar then retired from MMA for a second time in 2017.

Lesnar is the only person in history to hold both the UFC and WWE world championships. Lesnar is an eight-time WWE world champion, a one-time NJPW and IGF world champion, a one-time UFC heavyweight champion, and a one-time NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion, the only person in history to win a championship in each of those organizations. Additionally, Lesnar won the 2002 King of the Ring tournament, the 2003 Royal Rumble, and the 2019 Money in the Bank, the third wrestler (after Edge and Sheamus) to achieve all three of those accomplishments.

He has headlined numerous pay-per-view events for both WWE and UFC, including WrestleMania XIX, WrestleMania 31, WrestleMania 34, WrestleMania 36, six consecutive summers (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019), UFC 100 and UFC 116. Lesnar has been managed by Paul Heyman for the majority of his professional wrestling career. A 2015 ESPN.com article called Lesnar “the most accomplished athlete in the history of professional wrestling” and WWE wrestler John Cena has called Lesnar “the greatest in-ring athlete of all time”.

In an interview, UFC president Dana White revealed the reason why Brock Lesnar officially retired from UFC. When Brock Lesnar made the decision to officially hang up his MMA gloves and refuse to fight Daniel Cormier, many rumors arose about why Lesnar made this decision.

Most people believe that Brock Lesnar did not agree with the UFC’s drug testing methods or that he was not qualified to fight Cormier. There were also rumors that Brock Lesnar chose not to fight in the UFC since 2016 because he did not like the partnership between ESPN and the UFC. However, in an interview with ESPN MMA, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Brock Lesnar left the UFC due to salary reasons.

More specifically, Dana White confirmed that Vince McMahon paid Lesnar a huge salary to stay in WWE. “ESPN is not the reason Brock Lesnar left the UFC, it’s simply that WWE helped him make more money.” Dana White also denied the idea that the decline in Pay-Per-View buyers made Brock rethink whether to stay in the UFC.

“People keep saying Pay-Per-View is dying, and the UFC is getting 5 to 7 million buys a year,” White said. “Don’t listen to the bullshit.” UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier also said that Brock Lesnar’s choice was smart from a business perspective.

More specifically, DC said he thinks that if Brock Lesnar can earn a stable income at WWE, there is no reason to risk it at UFC. Moreover, Vince McMahon is considering Brock Lesnar as a valuable commodity to sell Pay-Per-View, so Brock’s salary at WWE will certainly not be small.

From 2008 to 2016, Lesnar fought 8 times for the UFC. Thanks to his previous fame with WWE, Lesnar became one of the UFC’s highest-rated fighters. The American’s most recent fight was at UFC 200 in 2016 against Mark Hunt.

The fight ended in a decision for Lesnar, but the UFC later announced that the victory would be overturned after the former wrestler tested positive for a banned substance. Despite the disqualification, Lesnar still earned a reported $2.5 million, a far greater sum than the $400,000 he earned for his fight with Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 in 2011.

However, $400,000 is not the actual amount that Brock Lesnar received. Attorney Hal J. Singer – who is handling the lawsuit between the UFC and several former UFC fighters – recently announced Lesnar’s contract with the UFC. The contract shows that the American wrestler receives at least $750,000 for each match without owning a championship belt and at least $812,500 for each match while owning a championship belt.

With the information provided by the lawyer, it can be estimated that Lesnar earned at least $7,875,000 from 2008 to 2011. This figure does not include bonuses and commissions Brock Lesnar received from Pay Per View.
