After weeks of anticipation from the WWE Universe, Bad Blood 2024 is finally in the books. Just like almost every premium live event this year, none of the matches were outright bad.

Sure, some weird decisions affected the quality of a couple of bouts, but overall, Bad Blood 2024 was another strong show presented by Triple H. Which match was the best one on the card, though?

So, let’s look at every match and rate them out of five stars.

#1. Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk – Hell in a Cell Match

Bad Blood 2024 started hot with one of the greatest Hell in a Cell Matches in recent WWE history. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre absolutely destroyed each other inside the barbaric structure. The hatred between both men was evident right from the start.

Punk got busted open after getting slammed into the cell wall, while McIntyre started bleeding as well. The Best in the World hit him with a toolbox. The spots only got more brutal, with multiple scary moments involving tables and steel steps.

Drew McIntyre looked to have the match won as he brought a bag of plastic beads into the ring, only for CM Punk to dodge a Claymore Kick attempt. The Scottish Warrior landed back-first onto the steel steps and the beads before Punk hit a chain-assisted GTS to win the match.

This was a classic of the highest order. Hell in a Cell is well and truly back, as evidenced by the blood-covered mat and CM Punk collapsing on his way back. No other match on the show came close to the opener. This is what Bad Blood is all about!

Rating: *****

#2. Nia Jax vs. Bayley – WWE Women’s Championship

Bayley and Nia Jax were forced to follow one of the best WWE matches of the year. Despite the difficult circumstances, both women constructed a fun contest at Bad Blood 2024. It was as good as their SummerSlam 2024 encounter, if not better.

Jax, in particular, had a great showing. She hit a hurricanrana of sorts, before following it up with a Bayley-to-Belly suplex. Things got more brutal outside the ring, with the WWE Women’s Champion hitting her challenger with a powerbomb onto the steel steps.

The Role Model hit an impressive Samoan Drop before Nia Jax accidentally took out the referee. Tiffany Stratton ran in and teased a Money in the Bank cash-in before the champion stopped her. Jax ended up winning with a top rope Samoan Drop and the Annihilator.

The intrigue at the end made this more fun than it appeared to be. Nia Jax’s great run of form continued at Bad Blood 2024. She has been a success as the hated heel champion.

Rating: ****

#3. Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest – WWE Bad Blood 2024

Damian Priest finally got his hands on Finn Balor at Bad Blood 2024, as the two faced each other in an evenly matched contest. The former friends both got a solid amount of offense in, with Balor using his quickness to gain the advantage and Priest showcasing his power.

The Punisher hit The Prince multiple Razor’s Edges, including one on the apron. However, Finn’s Judgment Day stablemates came out to distract him, nearly gifting the Irishman the win. After Damian Priest took care of them, the action between him and Balor got fast and furious.

The Irishman hit the Coup de Grace onto his opponent’s back multiple times, before eating a South of Heaven Chokeslam. Priest ended up on top at Bad Blood 2024, following a decent match. He and Balor truly know each other well in the ring.

Rating: ***1/2

#4. Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley – Women’s World Championship

With Dominik Mysterio locked in a shark cage above the ring during their match, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley focused on their in-ring chemistry at Bad Blood 2024 for a while. The former tag team partners got to wrestle in a compelling contest for around 10 minutes before things got goofy.

Image

Once Dirty Dom was hung upside down from the shark cage, the match devolved into madness and not the good kind. Ripley hit a Riptide on Morgan outside the ring and then smacked a defenseless Mysterio with a kendo stick until Raquel Rodriguez attacked her from behind.

It seems like the finish was botched, as the bell rang for a disqualification before Rodriguez put Liv Morgan on top of Rhea Ripley. Was it supposed to end in a pinfall? Either way, the final minutes were a confusing mess, dragging down our rating for the match and making it the worst one at Bad Blood 2024.

Rating: ***

#5. Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu – WWE Bad Blood 2024 main event

The main event of Bad Blood 2024 had a big fight feel before the bell even rang. Both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns had grand entrances, starting their game of one-upmanship.

Following that, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu got a lot of heat on The American Nightmare. They dominated Rhodes for a while before Reigns was finally tagged in. That was when things got even more interesting. The Original Tribal Chief survived a Moonsault-Frog Splash combo before Cody went insane.

Image

The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion hit Fatu with a Cross Rhodes on the floor, before splashing him through the announce table. Roman Reigns eventually won the match for his team after Jimmy Uso returned and distracted Solo for long enough for him to be hit with a Spear.

Of course, The Rock’s post-match return will take the spotlight, but this tag team bout was a bunch of fun. It was all-action, with each member shining on their own. Jacob Fatu had a particularly great showing at Bad Blood 2024, holding his own against WWE’s biggest babyfaces.

Rating: ****1/4
