WWE Star Behind Big E and Ilja Dragunov’s ‘Injuries’ Strikes Again, Sends Top Name to the Hospital

A WWE star who had previously ‘injured’ multiple other stars like Big E and Ilja Dragunov over the years has just now sent another in an ambulance. Ridge Holland defeated Andre Chase at NXT Halloween Havoc in an Ambulance Match.

Holland returned to NXT after several incidents in the WWE main roster that unfortunately resulted in real-life injuries to Big E and Elton Prince. Big E suffered a broken neck, while Prince injured his shoulder in a match against the former rugby player.

It was turned into a storyline in developmental, with Holland injuring Ilja Dragunov in December 2023. He also put Von Wagner out, as well as “accidentally” injuring Cruz Del Toro’s hand in a segment backstage.

This led to a redemption arc for Holland after joining Chase University, even winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. However, the former Brawling Brutes member turned and brutally assaulted Andre Chase.

At Halloween Havoc, Holland beat Chase in a brutal Ambulance Match. He won after an impressive showing that saw action all around the ring, including spots on the announcer’s desk, exposed cement floor ringside and ultimately, even the use of equipment from the ambulance such as a stretcher and a fire extinguisher. Ridge then hit a slingshot onto the ambulance before finishing Chase off with the Redeemer DDT.

It will be interesting to see what’s next for Ridge Holland, and if his win over Andre Chase would lead to a bigger feud.
