The build is nearly complete for NXT‘s upcoming PLE, Halloween Havoc. Ethan Page won an exciting triple threat match last week to become the number 1 contender for the NXT title. He will meet Trick Williams in a Devil’s playground at Halloween Havoc, as the two rivals look to settle the score once and for all.
These WWE stars had different personas in NXT that were nothing like their current gimmicks!
NXT North American champion Tony D’Angelo found out last week that he would meet Oba Femi in a tables, ladders, and scares match. A huge tag team match in the women’s division was also set up for Halloween Havoc, as global stars Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer team up to face NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. The go-home show helped finish laying the foundation for what should be a memorable Halloween Havoc.
The WWE Women’s Tag Title Picture Heats Up
Meta Four Was On The Verge Of A Huge Upset
- Damage CTRL overwhelmed Meta Four initially as they focused on isolating Jakara Jackson.
- Chelsea Green and Piper Niven showed up at the end of the match and destroyed both teams.
Damage CTRL kicks off NXT. The NXT Universe greets former NXT women’s champions IYO Sky and Kairi Sane with a huge pop as they entered the ring to face Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson of Meta Four. Both teams have been circling WWE women’s tag team champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Damage CTRL started off strong as they focused on keeping Legend out of the match. However, Legend was ultimately able to use her power to take over. Legend had another impressive performance as she dominated Sky and Sane at points. However, before Meta Four could score a massive upset win, Piper Niven showed up along with Chelsea Green, causing a disqualification while laying out both teams. A fatal 4 way for the women’s tag titles seems likely.
Oba Femi Tried To Take Out The Family
Femi Said That Tony D’Angelo Wouldn’t Have The Family’s Support
- Adrianna Rizzo was taken out by a mystery attacker, with a possible hint in Nikkita Lyons’ direction.
- Oba Femi destroyed the other members of Tony D’Angelo’s family.
Adrianna Rizzo was found taken out moments before Luca Crusifino was scheduled to take on Oba Femi. Crusifino had a quick start, fighting with some adrenaline because of what happened to Rizzo. While Crusifino put up a strong showing, Femi ultimately took over and scored the victory. Femi wasn’t done, as he attempted to take out Crusifino and Stacks after the match. Tony D’Angelo tries to make the save, but is put down. Femi was able to zip tie D’Angelo, forcing him to watch as Femi destroyed Crusifino and Stacks, ensuring that D’Angelo won’t have support at Halloween Havoc.
Ethan Page Promises To Show Trick Williams The Devil
Page Believes Williams Isn’t Tough Enough To Withstand The Devil’s Playground
- Trick Williams is confident that he’ll finally put Ethan Page behind him after Halloween Havoc.
- Page vowed to make Williams feel more pain than ever before.
NXT champion Trick Williams had one final war of words with Ethan Page before Halloween Havoc. Williams said that Page showed his fear when he sneak attacked Williams last week. Page put over his 17-year journey to WWE and said he’s willing to do whatever it takes to regain the NXT championship. Page is promising to show intensity and produce violence that will shock the NXT Universe at Halloween Havoc. Williams stayed calm and confident throughout, so if Page hoped to rattle Williams, he failed.
ZARIA Arrives At The End As Giulia And Stephanie Vaquer Build Momentum
ZARIA Seems Poised To Play A Role At Halloween Havoc
- Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer looked to develop chemistry before Halloween Havoc by taking on Fatal Influence.
- Fatal Influence is preparing for Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc, who also showed up during the main event.
Before taking on NXT women’s champion Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade at Halloween Havoc, Giulia and Stephanie looked to gain momentum while Fatal Influence prepared to make a statement before challenging Kelani Jordan for the NXT women’s North American championship. The tag match featured a lot of back and forth action as Giulia and Vaquer landed strong offense, while Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley held their own while also playing the numbers game with Jazmyn Nyx at ringside as well. Jordan showed up towards the end of the match to prevent more interference from Nyx, allowing Giulia and Vaquer to win the match. Fatal Influence spun the wheel, and they have the clear advantage heading into Halloween Havoc, as Jordan must defend her title in a dealer’s choice match. Perez and Jade also showed up to taunt Giulia and Vaquer before the lights went out and NXT’s third prized global signing for the women’s division, ZARIA, arrived. It was a very quick shot of ZARIA, but it seems very likely she’s going to be a topic of conversation at the end of Halloween Havoc, as the women’s division looks set to take center stage.
